Let’s draw and talk about rewriting your story
How to stop comparing yourself to other people
1. Accept where you are in your life right now.
In fact, don’t just accept it. Celebrate it. You made it this far from where you started and that’s incredible.
2. Do a digital detox.
That constant scrolling might be leading to you thinking that everyone has it more together than you when in reality, you’re just seeing the highlight reels, it’s not the full story.
3. Learn something new that will get you closer to your goals.
Everything you want to achieve is within your power if you’re willing to commit to your growth. So learn new skills and implement them.
4. Confront that negative voice in your head telling you you’re not enough.
It is wrong. You are enough. You always were enough. You will always be enough.
5. Let go of the need for material goods to define your happiness.
It’s awesome to feel comfortable enough to buy the things you want. But possessions are not a substitute for meaningful self love. In fact, it can often be a distraction.
an update from justin on the future of SoCurious
I feel like I’m entering a new season of creative evolution. And with that change, I want to continue to grow and evolve this newsletter and the SoCurious brand.
A few things to expect:
- Before the end of the year, I want to take the first steps to transition SoCurious from an inspirational platform to being a short-form education platform. For me, this means teaching bite-sized courses on personal development, creativity, and launching a side hustle. But I’d also like to go deep on the bigger philosophical questions of meaning, purpose, and belonging.
- In conjunction with that, later this year, I plan to release a new self-paced course that expands on the content of the Reset Workbook
- And finally, this month, I will release new art prints and cards in the online shop
While it’s still early days on the expansion, YOU are a meaningful part of this community and I want you to be the first to know about the small and big changes I’m aiming for over the coming months.
To help with that transition, I’ve got a question: what’s one course you’d like me to teach? (It can literally be anything)

I’m obsessed with this TikTokers personal style. Think bold colors and interesting silhouettes.
I just finished Really Good, Actually by Monica Heisey. It’s laugh-out-loud funny, while also being painfully awkward. This debut novel is about a woman’s search for meaning after an unexpected breakup. #relatable
I did not go see Beyonce’s Renaissance tour. But I recently rewatched what I like to call: Beyonce giving the best powerpoint presentation of all time. Skip to the 3:00 minute mark.
I made a video about all of the resets I’ve had in my life and my framework for reseting your life in 7 not-so-easy steps.
it’s absolutely okay to make mistakes

You have permission to make mistakes
To be messy and imperfect
To say the wrong thing
To do the wrong thing
To be misunderstood.
Because those mistakes might just be an opportunity to grow
SoCurious helps creative people find small but meaningful breakthroughs in personal development, career, and creativity.
