I’m proud of my culture.
I celebrate my community.

Being Black in America is so much more than just pain,
enduring injustice and long suffering.

That is a part of our story,
but it’s not the whole story.

I choose to spread light.
I choose to encourage.
I choose to find joy.

Because Black joy is a form of resistance.
