How do you let go of the past?
It takes time, of course.
But first you have to accept it.
And acceptance is not saying that you agree or that it was good.
Even when awful, terrible, unbelievably unfortunate things happen. We have to accept them to move forward.
Acceptance is recognizing that it happened and you can’t change it.
It’s stopping yourself from replaying that situation over and over again thinking about all the things you wish you’d done differently.
And acceptance is actively deciding where you want to go from here…
